One of my Coton,Le Petite Prince got an attention from TV show,"Animal Planet 101" for the show and here is the summary of the interview from his human mom.
Hi Arestia,
The attached photo is of Little Beau doing some UN-supervised gardening in
the courtyard.
We have put together some bullet points in an effort to answer some
of your questions about Little Beau. I will be happy to go into specifics,
if you are interested.
- Little Beau is NOT a morning dog; however, once I get him up and going, he
loves to take an early hike, on leash, up at the Cove, the base of
the Santa Rosa Mountains. After, we head over to the Old Town
Coffee Company to sit on the patio, rewarding him with a bowl of fresh water
and dog biscuits "on the house", and a latte for me. Many dogs and their
owners stop by in the morning to socialize and drink coffee.
- We usually frequent restaurants that dog friendly. Our Christmas
Eve family dinner party was held at The Homestead in the Old Town.
Jim, the manager, graciously welcomed my sisters' Tibetan terrier, Zoe, and
Little Beau by bringing them a fresh bowl of water and dog biscuits. This
was BEFORE we were even offered the wine list!
- You asked what we do together. That's easy: just about everything.
Little Beau is a monthly commuter between our home and
Calgary. The best part of flying for him is socializing at the airports.
He loves all other animals, and especially enjoys small children.
- We often travel to San Francisco and stay at the pet friendly Fairmont
Hotel. If we are working during the day, Little Beau will hop into the Pet
Taxi and spend the day either at Bark to Basics or The Hound Lounge. In the
late afternoon, the Pet Taxi brings him back to the hotel and he often sits
in on business meetings with us in the Lobby Lounge.
- Little Beau loves to ride in our cars. We put him in his jumpseat so that
he can see out the windows. But he's not a "wind in the hair" kind of dog,
preferring to snuggle in his seat when we put the top down on our sports
car.
- When we're at home, he always joins us on a "cocktail cruise"
around the lake, enjoying barking at all of the neighbors dogs in their
waterfront backyards.
- Little Beau has a warm and loving relationship with his 2 ragdoll
brothers, Bingo and Clyde, as well as his Himalayan Siamese brother, Romeo.
We attribute his ease of socialization, to his attendance at Best Paw
Forward, a business run by Valerie Masi. As a 4 month old pup, he attended
a 2 week live -in session with Valerie which allowed Little Beau to become
comfortable around dogs ranging in size from 3 lbs. to 150 lbs., as well as
numerous cats. As we have said many times, this was the best way
to start a young pup off to becoming a delightful dog which we are proud to
take anywhere with us.
I hope this has given you some insight into Little Beau, and I'll look
forward to hearing from you if you wish to discuss anything further.
Best regards,
Winter Gardening Coton
