My precious tiny Beau had a Lion Cut. He had huge coat, I mean, huge coat that I had to nervous about not hurting him everytime I groomed him. He didn't like the grooming time at all since it takes hours to do the job so I had to make a "HARD" decision to give him a cut so he won't feel that way anymore. It looks good to us when we see their beautiful, bountiful cottony hair on them and it is not so fun for a tiny Coton who is so tiny when he has to put up with all this grooming time to look good for their human. Now, he seems so happy and so happy. Not just that, he looks so cute and amazing! He just looks like a little lion! The lion cut totally looks great on him. He only weighs 6 lbs and he doesn't needed to go through all that heavy combing and brushing out time so often. I feel so much better for him that he doesn't have to go through that painful grooming time that he gets nervouse about. He is just a beautiful amazing tiny coton who owns wonderful, tender charactor I ever have seen before. He just looks like a "FAIRY" little Coton.

"Le Petite Prince" the Coton interviews for the TV Show, " Animal Planet 101"
One of my Coton,Le Petite Prince got an attention from TV show,"Animal Planet 101" for the show and here is the summary of the interview from his human mom.
Hi Arestia,
The attached photo is of Little Beau doing some UN-supervised gardening in
the courtyard.
We have put together some bullet points in an effort to answer some
of your questions about Little Beau. I will be happy to go into specifics,
if you are interested.
- Little Beau is NOT a morning dog; however, once I get him up and going, he
loves to take an early hike, on leash, up at the Cove, the base of
the Santa Rosa Mountains. After, we head over to the Old Town
Coffee Company to sit on the patio, rewarding him with a bowl of fresh water
and dog biscuits "on the house", and a latte for me. Many dogs and their
owners stop by in the morning to socialize and drink coffee.
- We usually frequent restaurants that dog friendly. Our Christmas
Eve family dinner party was held at The Homestead in the Old Town.
Jim, the manager, graciously welcomed my sisters' Tibetan terrier, Zoe, and
Little Beau by bringing them a fresh bowl of water and dog biscuits. This
was BEFORE we were even offered the wine list!
- You asked what we do together. That's easy: just about everything.
Little Beau is a monthly commuter between our home and
Calgary. The best part of flying for him is socializing at the airports.
He loves all other animals, and especially enjoys small children.
- We often travel to San Francisco and stay at the pet friendly Fairmont
Hotel. If we are working during the day, Little Beau will hop into the Pet
Taxi and spend the day either at Bark to Basics or The Hound Lounge. In the
late afternoon, the Pet Taxi brings him back to the hotel and he often sits
in on business meetings with us in the Lobby Lounge.
- Little Beau loves to ride in our cars. We put him in his jumpseat so that
he can see out the windows. But he's not a "wind in the hair" kind of dog,
preferring to snuggle in his seat when we put the top down on our sports
car.
- When we're at home, he always joins us on a "cocktail cruise"
around the lake, enjoying barking at all of the neighbors dogs in their
waterfront backyards.
- Little Beau has a warm and loving relationship with his 2 ragdoll
brothers, Bingo and Clyde, as well as his Himalayan Siamese brother, Romeo.
We attribute his ease of socialization, to his attendance at Best Paw
Forward, a business run by Valerie Masi. As a 4 month old pup, he attended
a 2 week live -in session with Valerie which allowed Little Beau to become
comfortable around dogs ranging in size from 3 lbs. to 150 lbs., as well as
numerous cats. As we have said many times, this was the best way
to start a young pup off to becoming a delightful dog which we are proud to
take anywhere with us.
I hope this has given you some insight into Little Beau, and I'll look
forward to hearing from you if you wish to discuss anything further.
Best regards,

No Wheat,Corn or Soy for Cotons,Please!
While ago, I've found this little cute book "Organic dog biscuit cookbook kit" by Bubba Rose(www.bubbarose.com)and I thought this is a great book for everyone who cares about their pet and pay attention to what to feed their beloved companions. This isn't just a how to make a biscuit book. You can actually get the idea and insights for what sorts of food(regular meal) that you can make for your companion. I've been preparing my Coton's meal with cooked version from raw diet and this is lot easier for me and lot more tasteful for them(I guess). I am not suggesting any that you also need to change. I like to be created and I modify these menu with different ingredients. I strictly stay away from the food it contains Wheat,Corn,white Flour and Soy for my Coton which they are allergic to them based on the resources. Another thing that I love to get for my Coton is "Raw Bison knuckle bone" with cataliege intact on them. It is a great chew toy I ever have found and they are absolutely loves it. It is big and chunky for them at the beginning but they will have no problem to chew it down. It is good for their teeth and their body since it is made out of calcium. You can find this at any pet food retailer who carries quality raw pet food. The funny thing about my Cotons, they know I always bring something yummy for them whenever my husband and I come home from eating out at the restaurant. My husband likes to make jokes about how I am so obsessed leave some portion on my plate for them to take home. When we arrived at home, the first thing that they do is looking at my hands and sniffing around me to find left over bag for them. It became a habit for them to doing that and I don't mind them doing that. It is a humble pleasure and it is good for my spirit. :}
This is one of quick fix for their meal.
The meat left over from the restaurant last night.(beef sirloin, lamb chop, prime rib and chicken)
Heat up the organic chicken broth with the pea and carrots from the frozen vegetable bag. I use microwave oven for 3 minitutes.
Sprinkle some organic garlic granule, dried parsley flakes and ginger root powder over them. (Even if you don't have organic stuff, you still can use the one that is not organic.)
Let it stand to cool for couple minuites.
Scoop and pour this over in their bowl which you've already prepared some portion of the meat and Castro & Pollux organic chicken and flax seed dry kibble(it doesn't contain wheat, soy and corn and you can purchase this only at Petco or Whole Food market).

Coton puppies are my "Paris"!
I haven't had a chance to go on a trip for a while since I am tied up with my Cotons and the house building project. I'm often like to pull out my old trip photos to Europe to reminiscing those times instead. I would love to go back to visit those places sometime but meanwhile, my precious Cotons are my "Paris" until then.

Organic Cotton Sweater for Coton Puppy
I've found this yarn made out of 100% organic cotton and I fell in love with their soft pastel colors. These colors reminds me of warm, sunny afternoon at beaches that I miss very much. So far, I've finished dusty blue and strawberry. I am working on more sweaters with Pistachio and Dusty Sage for my darling Cotons. Knit, knit and knit... It works fine so far for me to forget about our problems with building project while I'm knitting. Best of all, my Cotons seem to love their nice, cozy sweater that their mommy made just for them!
